This Privacy Policy describes how PawCatch (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) handles information when you use our iOS application PawCatch (display name: 喵抓抓).
Summary
PawCatch is a local, on-device game designed for cats and their caregivers. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. The App does not require an account and does not connect to our servers for gameplay or analytics.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not collect, including but not limited to:
- Name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Apple ID or other account credentials
- Precise or coarse location
- Contacts, photos, camera roll, microphone recordings, or health data
- Advertising identifiers for tracking or targeted advertising
- Usage analytics sent to third-party analytics providers
Data stored on your device only
To remember your preferences and local play statistics, the App may store small amounts of
information only on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s standard on-device storage
(such as UserDefaults). This may include, for example:
- Sound and music volume settings
- Selected game mode and duration preferences
- Local game session statistics (e.g. catches, play time)
This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed if you delete the App (unless iOS restores data from a device backup you control).
Network and third parties
- The App does not require an internet connection to play.
- We do not embed third-party advertising, analytics, or social SDKs that collect personal data.
- We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.
If you download the App from the Apple App Store, Apple may process information according to its own privacy policy (for example, purchase and download records). That processing is governed by Apple, not by us.
Audio and media
Sound effects and background music are loaded from resources bundled inside the App. They are played locally on your device and are not uploaded to us.
Children
PawCatch is intended for pet owners and caregivers to use with their cats. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it if any such data were ever received (we do not expect this to occur given our no-collection design).
Your choices
- You can adjust in-app sound settings at any time.
- You can delete all locally stored App data by removing PawCatch from your device.
- You can revoke permissions (if any are requested in a future version) in iOS Settings.
International users
Because we do not collect personal data, we do not transfer personal data across borders. If we change this practice in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
